A renaissance affirmation in Belgium’s fin de siècle

After a Master in literature at La Sorbonne, Paris IV University, Angélique Sioc’han de Kersabiec-Demur get specialized in art history at Ecole du Louvre, Paris, with a Master in art and in museology. She started there to focus on art and sculpture at the end of the nineteenth century. When she moved on to Belgium, she gained a Master in Cultural Management (University of Brussels ULB). Over the last years she was curator for several exhibitions exhibitions for example in Royal Museum of Fine Arts Brussels or Mundaneum, Mons. She completed her PhD thesis in 2013 at the University of Brussels ULB, the first academic study and catalog on the Belgian sculptor Charles Van der Stappen (1843-1910) for which she became a renewed expert. In 2013, she became associate director in a contemporary art gallery (ifa gallery Brussels-Shanghai).
